Is this a Dandy button?

Maybe a Dandy but this one seems a little too small.
Also Dandy button tend to have designs on the face, this one seems to have been plain.

My best guess is it is a coat button that was simply polished brass and probably around 1800 possibly late 1700's.

Still a great button to find and an indicator they may be more goodies at that site.
