What did I find?

I found this metal detecting and am not sure of purpose. It's very ornate, it had a loop on top but half of it's missing. Seems like a weight, it's very heavy for size. I think it's high quality cast iron, may have had brass plating at one time as I see a little green here and there.
It's 1.75" long and 3/4" wide at widest.

Perhaps it's an old ornamental piece from a metal fence?

I'd guess it to be a teardrop drop pull drawer/cabinet handle.

I was guessing a clock weight also but not for the pendulum, one for the chains that you pull to wind it.
