I bought a 1797 Draped Bust Cent a while ago. I noticed that when I bought it that the price in the PCGS price guide was around $95 but now it is at $145. But I believe this is the 1797 reverse of 1797 stems plain edge. And PCGS is at $250 with this. I am seriously considering to sell this. But I want to know 2 things.

1.Is my choice of the variety correct?

2. How much is it worth and how much do you think I should start a starting bid at?

Thats the only early LC that I didn't have attributed when I sold it.

You should figure out the variety if you want to try to sell it for maximum cash. The differences between 97 Rev 96 vs. 97 R 97 are small in comparison to if it's a rare variety in one of those.

Regardless - you should get more than you paid

I just wish that I could have bought the lot of large cents including the 1796 Large Cent. Who ever got it should be very happy.

I know I will make money. I will most likely have to go to my local coin shop to figure out the Sheldon and the damage to the price due to the scratches on the surface.

Either way, new pics are up and need help.

I believe this is a 1797 Reverse of 97 stems

wow I wonder what the 97' I dug 2 yrs ago is worth....
