This morning I headed back to my 1935 store/house site I’ve been pounding the last month. I used a friends 6” nox coil and it really impressed me!! There are so many beaver tails there it’s insane!! I bet between me and my friends we have dug 200 plus beaver tails. We have been digging every signal we can get. Today I went back over the same area I’ve been hunting with the 6” coil going super slow on recovery speed 7, park 2. I ended up finding a sterling mechanical pencil with the name Tom inscribed on it, either a 1892 or 1899 V nickel, a 1936 buff, a 1945 P war nickel and a 1943 P war nickel with a strike error on the back. I also found a civilian blazer button. Ty for looking and HH!

Nice recoveries from tab infested ground! I, too, like the way the 6" coil on the 'nox works around trashy sites.
Especially like the strike error war nickel! How rare is that!

Ty sir! I’ve never gave a small coil a shot but this site I knew would be perfect for it!

Some very nice hunting Vic. Congrats on the Nickel trifecta and adding a couple of Silvers to your count. The date on the "V" looks to me as 1899. Trapper

Ty trapper, I’m shocked every time I go back there and find stuff I missed the previous times

Congrats on the double war nickel, v nickel, buffalo trifecta. That's what I did last weekend!

Looks like you're going to keep hitting that spot for awhile. My kind of place. Every direction and recheck.

Puzzle solved

for nearly 20 years I had a whatzis laying around that was a head scratcher.
appears all along I had the top of a silver pencil.

Congtatz on another great day of hunting.....Gil

Very nice finds CW! I didn't know anything like a Sterling Silver mechanical pencil even existed, cool!

Nice work. Thats a cool silver pencil and oldies as well, great hunt CW. And thats what keeps it fun, ya never really know 100% until ya dig! I usually use the 6" coil on the 705 for most hunting. Mine hits deeper than youd think a small coil should. I like to concentrate on small areas at a time anyway.

Ty very much! I prefer the larger coils but for the area I’m hunting at that store site the 6” coil is perfect!

You’re killing it while I wonder if this ground here will ever be diggable again. Still no rain.
