Florida Bridge Collapse

Dont know what you call it..accident or what...but for sure makes a fellow sharpen up and consider all the strange and various ways a guy could get immediately killed here on this Planet with no warning...
 
I will wait for the full report before blaming the engineer. Sometimes, the builder takes shortcuts that cause the accident, against the engineer's specs. The KC hotel walkway was one of those cases. In that one, a solid rod was supposed to be through both levels, but someone found it easier to have two rods, which put too much strain on the bracket at one level, causing it to separate.

Seems someone didn't do much homework prior to awarding the contract. But, palm-grease likely causes lots of vision problems.....

One of the companies involved in building the bridge, Munilla Construction Management, is currently facing a lawsuit over a temporary bridge that collapsed in October 2016 at the Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport. Munilla has a contract to expand a terminal at the airport. As part of the construction site, a short plywood walkway was erected. When TSA worker Jose Perez stepped onto the structure, it collapsed, his attorney, Tesha Allison, told BuzzFeed News.

Well it's quite evident someone made a mistake somewhere along the line. When the smoke finally clears, there will be heck to pay for someone for sure.Very tragic.
