Anyone from this area have sugestions on close to home search areas, every park, ball field, school grounds are part of the Fairmount Park commision and prohibit MD'ing kind of frustrating with all this prime ground being off limits.

It is a bummer that the parks are off limits, I would think they hold a lot of great finds! I think that I would look to older homes (and/or older vacant lots) near the old parks. Your county assessor's office should be able to provide owner contact information to aid you in gaining permission. The county assessor may even have something online! Also go to the library and check old maps for fairgrounds that are long since abandoned, old race tracks, old ball fields etc. RickO

Thanks for the reply guys, I was really dissapointed learning just how much land falls under the Fairmount Park jurisdiction, there are acres and acres of land that would all be prime and I'm sure would hold many treasures.
