Dang. Love this spot. It's nasty hunting, with lots of trash, but the goods are there.

Went back with my son, and he pulled two silvers (one ring, and one St. Christopher medal), but he really killed it in the change. Found a couple of coin spills with one netting $2.80, then later pulled 2 dollar coins. He cleared $6.

I managed another gold! Woot Woot! 10K ring that rang up 2.66 grams. What a fun way to end the day! Later pulled a broken silver ring. Netted $2.74. We were only there about an hour and 10 minutes, though, so it was pretty good.

Lots of trash still getting pulled though. Everything in the pic was fresh pulled, as I'd emptied my bag from the other hunt!

This makes 3 golds in 2 days. Not bad for land hunting! :)

Cheers,

Skippy

man all i can say it wow

I know! I'm still floating around today. Can't wait to get back out to the school, today. I suspect it's going to be slimmer findings from here on out, as I've hit the major hot spots... but given the fact there have been 11 rings (2 the first hunt, 6 the second, and 3 the third, across 2 days)+ 1 silver pendant pulled out of the field in 3 hunts , I give it a strong possibility for more!

Work is interminably long, today...

That looks like another black hills gold ring, you sure it's not 12k? Congrats again skippy, and good luck when you get back out there!

Totally sure. It's 10K, stamped and tested. I think they just used more/less copper in each of the leaves compared to other alloys to get the coloration.

I just read this and the other 2 posts of your hunts from that school. Great ongoing success story there! I really liked the mention of all that fishing stuff you will purchase with $$ from the gold honker. It shows that a person can do a lot of purchasing, and giving, with one valuable dig! Even more, with a few good digs. Gold prices don't look bad these days. Enjoy!

Thanks. I do tend to spend the gold $ on the kids. They've gotten skiis, ski passes, a shotgun, a computer, Go-Pros, Jackets, and trips out of my gold sales. One year we took the gold sales and budgeted the entire summer's trips from it. Hecka fun!

Nice gold ring there Skippy. I think you have a good park to hunt and so glad to hear you are getting your son involved in this great hobby. Good luck and stay safe!
