To be honest, I'm just now getting back into the hobby. I haven't done any detecting for the last 10 or 12 years. I'm researching the law here in Delaware myself. I've been in Delaware since 1988. I did go to a few of the high schools, soccor and baseball fields around here and never had any problems;however, things change with time and when I see how restrictive it's become in my native New York I can only assume it's may have changed here.

Welcome,
You will do fine with your bounty hunter but there is room for upgrading.
With a more advanced unit your finds will increase as well as your enthusiasm.
Good Luck.

The Bounty Hunter came from my grandpop, Cant wait to come across a great spot. Upgrade will come thanks for the welcome

Welcome from Monmouth county !!!

Welcome and the best places to detect in southern Jersey would be on the beaches of AC and Sea Side etc. ,non of the beaches are hunted out ,you just have to wait for a nice storm ,Northeaster to come throe and look for erosion spots on the beach "where sand was pulled out "second low tide is usually the best, start couple hours before it's lowest point ,you can check tide charts at NJ tide.com ,state parks are off limits ,you can also hunt tot lots ,city parks you have to get a permission from the park attendant ,small parks you can just go and detect ,be careful to cover up your holes and not to destroy the grass,as far as your machine I never heard about it ,but hope it works good for you, also there are tons of experienced people in your area so it would be helpful to look for local hunting club, just google it,hope this helps and HH

too bad you are a little south of me. I am in monmouth county.

Beaches are fair game as long as they are public beaches. Woods you need to be a little careful with. I would just ask permission from people. Find someone with an old plot of land and knock on their door. Usually they will give you permission to return any time you want!

goodluck!

by the way....Borgata is my favorite AC Casino.
