Default There's Gold in Them Thar Playgrounds

I've been hitting the playgrounds, ballfields and schools lately to reach a clad goal I set for myself before the end of the year and found this 14k gold ring about 6 inches down under the wood chips in this black mulch type of dirt. I don't know if the diamonds are real, I will get it tested tomorrow but I'm hoping they are. There is no doubt about the gold though, woo hoo! In July I found a 10k gold ring but the diamonds were fake. I also found two wheaties bringing my total to 30 since July. Also found a nurse's prayer pendant and $5.51 in clad bringing my total to $163.04. I'm trying to hit $200 in clad before the end of the year. Thanks for looking.

That certainly is a pretty ring!! Playgrounds are always being replenished, so they never run out of "goodies". Congratulations.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet ring! 90% of my gold finds are from tot lots, and a very nice clad total from the lot also. I'm guessing you are the only one hitting it?

Wow Dave, that is one nice ring. Way to go on that bad boy. Let us know the value if you get it appraised. Im sure that has to be worth a pretty penny. Maybe a new machine...

They are real but two different jewelers said they are not worth anything because they are small chip diamonds and they would melt the ring for the gold. One offered me $50 and the other $55. I think I will try selling it on eBay and see what I can get.
