Smile CTX finds Gold! UPDATE- 14K, 3 Diamonds= 1 Carat

Yesterday REM and I met up at a city park..
It was a good day..
Found 3 Wheats, 2 1941, 1 1942..
But when I turned up the ring my day was made..
No markings but I have no doubt it is real..
Very heavy and the stones are blinding..
Will take it to my jeweler for conformation and what carat it comes in at..
Weighs 7.8g

Took it in and it tested out at 14K, center stone 1/2 carat + 2, 1/4 carat diamonds.. Retail +/- $2000..........................Stoked....

Did it sound any better than a zinc penny before you dug it?

Congratulations on the fat gold!
Isn't that one of the best feelings there is?

Man that is a beauty. The only thing that hit me (along with no mark) was: isn't 7.9 grams a little light for a gold ring of that size?

I sure hope it is real. Nice find!!

Not sure if that is light or not.. It feels very heavy holding it..
I'll find out tomorrow..
Looking at it under a jewelers loop at a nick in the rim it appears to be solid with no sign of plating.. The other thing that makes me believe it to be real is the metal surrounding the stones, appears to be white gold..
I will say if it's fake it's the best I've ever seen..
Fingers crossed..
