Got out today for a short hunt before the rain moved in. I decided to try a site that I have hunted many times before with varried success...I usually either get skunked or score a couple older coins...there is never any in between. I had a feeling today was going to be a skunk day...luckily I was wrong. My very last signal of the day produced a nice 1920 standing liberty quarter at about 8 inches deep. I was thrilled to get it, as I have found very few SLQs over the years, probably my favorite coin to find!

Thanks! I have been detecting for 17 years and this is only the 3rd Standing Liberty quarter I have found. They are by far the hardest coin type/ style for me to find. Needless to say I was thrilled to make this one number 3 :)

Nice find! I like the tarnish.....really nice looking coin! I was lucky enough to dig one last year in my first year of detecting but it didn't have a date, but I can't complain.
Congratulations!
