Been hunting in the woods and made a few good Finds recently.

What I believe to be turn of the century (Black Powder-Paper) Shotgun Shells. From somewhere between 1894-1913 timeframe.

And a .50 Cal Musket Round Ball with a Heavy Patina and possible Patch marks.

Am I correct in thinking that the UMC Co Headstamp is the older of the 3 all with the same Star around the Primer Pattern? I know there are a couple other patterns on these.

If I recall what I've read, yes. I believe UMC merged with Remington at some point and the Rem-UMC shells are newer. They're all pretty old though, with the primer not having the secondary rim around it. Or so I've been led to believe...

Yup. Thats what I have found as well. Thanks for confirming.
Ive found a lot of good info on head stamps here.
I sincerely appreciate all the knowledge I've gained reading old post here..

Buck are you up in Northern Louisiana?

Those are some very neat pieces of history! Sweet finds! What are "patch marks?"
