I have read that the Prizm can be operated in all-metal mode for detection. Does anyone have experience doing this, and is it a mode that would be helpful in locating deeper coins that only provide weak signals?

Thanks!

I do not know about finding anything deeper, but I can tell you that any kind of metal foil, nail or other will sing out and you will have to dig to know the difference.   There is no way to tell by the display when you are in the all metal mode as to what the item may be.....Ray

Its along time since I've even seen a Prizm but I think you can get a little more depth with discrimination by turning off the discrim. icons, turning tone I.D. on and then you should be able to max out the sensitivity on many sites.
Could be wrong and might only apply to the upper range models.

I have a Prizm III, and on all metal I get beeps constantly. It picks up EVERYTHING!!! Junk, junk, junk, etc. I generally discriminate out the nails and foil only. It then allows me to find tokens, coins, jewelry, relics, etc.
