I hadn't been using my Deus much since I picked up my Equinox, and ran afoul of the dreaded drained battery syndrome.
Having decided that I needed to pick up my Deus for some woods exploration, I prepped ahead and made sure I had a full charge on it, so that by week's end, I'd be ready to go. However, when I arrived at my location, my Deus coil was as dead as a hammer...
Deciding that I had nothing to lose, when I got home, I did the following:
The Deus now lasts for 10 hours before the coil is almost depleted. It's not a perfect fix, but it gets me a couple of good hunts before I charge it, and I stave off sending it in for a battery replacement.

Deciding that I had nothing to lose, when I got home, I did the following:
- Fully charged the coil
- Fully discharged the coil by turning on and keeping the full detector set-up in a high EMI zone of the house.
- Placed the coil in the freezer for over 24 hours.
- Removed the coil and let it come to room temperature.
- Fully charged the coil.
- Fully discharged the coil, as above.
- Charged the gear, and used it.
