Wife and I just bought a White's M6 and ready to jump into this new hobby.

Can't help you for your specific area but to get some noise, hit a couple school grounds or old parks, tot lots. You want maximum targets, good or bad while you sort out the language of the detector. These things are quite smart but you have to be on the same page with them. Good luck and welcome.
