axe head and chain

i found the axe head about 6" deep but found nothing else in the area. the chain could be old but i can't verify it. any input?

Based on the type of axes head, yours appears to be southern or baltimore Kentucky. The next are head is North Carolina. Axes heads are in the 1800.
