Well.....I got bored about 1:30 this afternoon & just had to go detecting for a couple hours. I've been wanting to check out those "bunkers" just north of Touvelle Park, so I drove over there & detected my way north to them. I found a few clad coins along the river and trail, but not much. When I got to the "bunkers" I was let down to see them literally wrapped in blackberry vines, and they looked suspiciously like old bridge abutments to me.....especially since an old road ends right there. Not wanting to waste anymore of the day, I decided to go curb stripping again.
I didn't find anything worth bragging about, but I did snag a 1961 Philadelphia Roosevelt dime, a 1946-s Wheat, and a 1942-D wheat. I found $1.59 total. Another day saved by a silver!
