Well it has been raining since forever here in E. Tn. So we just head out in different directions as some of you already know. Today was Mt. day and it did not disappoint. First place was a pair of silver dolphin earrings, which I think I left in the car, $1. Next stop is where I got that old sterling bracelet a few weeks back with the eastern star on it. Saw the elephants and was like that's s cute, then noticed the lobster claw clasp. Asked to see it, and he tells me he doesn't think it is real although he knows better jewelry has that sort of clasp. Well " they" are getting better at fooling people with the junk jewelry, but as some of you know I have a knack for sniffing this stuff out LOL!! I get my loupe out and tell him I see USA on it and I like elephants so I'll take it. He takes it back and kinda looks at it and I thought for sure he'd seen the 14 kt. But no he doesn't and I'm on my way. It weighs in at 10.20 grams. The rose necklace is 14kt and I got this weeks ago and just kept forgetting about it. It did cost me $ 9.00 but still bargin seeing as what gold is doing and may do in the future. My husband asks me why I even bother to MD, I find better stuff out and about. Lol I guess I just like getting dirty.....:p

Wonderful! Yes, you have a nose for GOLD alright!
You would like my Wife, she does the same thing you do, out hunting thrift shops and whatnot for gold and silver and she does a whole lot better for less money, and less effort than I do!

Nice work Gale and keep the finds and posts coming! We enjoy seeing you making pay!

When you said silver dolphins you had my undivided attention. I spent many years hiding from the world in a few of Uncle Sams Submarines. I would love to see a picture of the ear rings. I wish I had your nose for gold. I like to hunt goodwill and other thrift stores but never find any gold or silver jewelry. My best find was a Mont Blanc ball point the platinum fittings. Over 400 new and I got it for less than two dollars and sold it a few days later for a nice crisp 100 dollar bill.

Here are the earrings, not a huge deal but kinda cute to wear to the beach.

My Daughter in law would love those. I like dolphins also but don't think my wife would approve of me wearing them. She never minded too much the ones that I wore on my chest for all those years. Well she did get tired of me being at sea about two thirds of every year. There were a lot holes that needed to be punched in the oceans and they filled right back in so we just punched more hole. That how submarine sailors talk about what we did when we were at sea.

Love the elephant piece!

Great hedge that gold, it’s value always remains the same.
Dollar down 45% since 2016. ($1100 vs $1600 gold).
