Check out how this ring looked when I got it out of the water. I figured sterling silver with gold overlay. NOPE! Got it home and cleaned it up by wrapping it in aluminum foil and putting it in vinegar awhile then rubbing it with baking soda.
It cleaned up nicely but something still did not quite look right. No marks too. It held to 14K acid.. no way... NEVER saw 14K come out of the water like that. Then again I don't think I've ever found old white gold.
It's been just sitting here awhile until I found some extra spare time this morning and decided to take it to my jeweler friend. He tested it and confirmed it was 14K. INTERESTING! He said it was hand made, high quality and something about milgrain. He then shined it up for me.
This one fits and I really like it so this one I'm going to wear from time to time.
Oh yeah found a nice gold chain that day too and another weird ring
Gold ring number 23 for 2017
