This little tot lot is in a city park, but the primary users
are mostly girls from St Edwards Catholic School. Their
school ground is too small to have a large playground,
so the cross the street every day and use this park as
their playground.

I found a gold ring there last year, as well as other gold
items in the past few years.

This find blew my gears!

A small vintage Stillson wrench???

Then there was the usual stuff,

Here is my jewelry finds, thanks to St Edwards,

Included in there is my first gold ring for 2010..... It is a
small 14k white gold ring with about 10 small diamonds,

It did not have a hallmark, so I had to get home to get
real excited,

It registered as high foil.

It's not a big one. It weighs 1.9 grams.

That made my day, plus it was just beautiful out side.

Thanks fer L@@kin yaw,

Congrats on your first gold ring for the year and your other finds as well. Hey How much was that gold test kit you have? I think I like that one better than the acid test.

Good job Dog, ya sniffed ojut the good stuff again. I like the ring and I am surprised by the wrench, it seems to be in pretty good condition all said. Glad ya got out, nice post as usual.

I sent you a PM about it.

I would recommend the RS Mizar ET18 Electronic Gold Tester.

But I do not know about other testers. Just the MS Mizar M24.

Happy Huntin,

Great job on the gold tabdog! Will your test kit be able to tell if something is gold plated as well?

hay Snf,

yes it can tell gold platting and gold fill.

I read that thick gold sheeting can not
bet detected unless it is cut through
to the under metal and exposed to the
acid. That is something I never came
across.

Happy Huntin,

great finds

I see you still use the Mizer and Accura. Do you remember me?

I sure do Mark.

We had several discussions on finds forum.

Good to see you here.

I have been sick sense December. This month
is my first month to feel better.

I have already found 3 pieces of gold jewelry
and a CW cannon friction primer,
