Just saw this on eBay, it's a finds secret department made for the simplex. $13 bucks, I thought it was pretty cool,like a hidden drawer. Heck you could put anything in there, field finds or your stash.lol.. Available in black or red

That is cool, I'm pretty sure they have an aftermarket battery that fits in that slot too.

Ha ha. I figured sooner or later someone would find a good use for that spot.

You could fill it with clad and make a nice counter balance for that 11" coil too....
