I havent flown since.... well a long time, but there may be an issue with the airlines and certain batteries. You might want to check if theres any restriction on the type you use (iirc, you can bring most any battery, but sometimes certain packaging is required, and maybe declaration. hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me can chime in on this).

In checked baggage you can't have lithium ion batteries (thanks Samsung), but carry on you can have any type.
