With all the improvements on the Max people were still complaining that it didn't have volume control. Complain no more. Garrett stepped up big time with the Max.

Why though?

At pro bout blows my ear drums out. My ears ring after a full day, if anything I turn it down.

How deaf do ya need to be to need more volume from them? Lol

I also see that they've moved some other features around like making the Iron Disc the default and Notch Disc the "shift" option. They also assigned buttons for the Z-Lynk Wireless system, I assume to be able to pair with the receiver in order to use other headphones than the MS-3. I like it.

I am impressed - Volume Control

Garrett R & D team are really starting to push the boundaries now

A nice addition next might be a higher frequency (50+khz) AT perhaps

Be the dux nuts over here - Tough, waterproof with the ability to pick up the smallest of gold Mmmmm -

Big Boy's Hobby states that Garrett announced that the release date for the AT MAX will be in August. Bummer we all will be miss out on the best part of summer.

If I didnt have a ctx and was only interested in freshwater... at max would be on my radar

Does this have a true all metal mode?
