If you are after deep turf silver, the Explorer is a benchmark setting machine (and a great body builder too )

But if you are after low conductors such as gold, you can't beat a higher frequency machine, or a cross over machine like the MXT.

I don't know where you are in VA but the MetalDetectives site may help. The counties in red are covered by a detectorist offering a service to find lost items. Good luck.
