Hello Folks
Had a great weekend detecting with a group of great guys this past weekend. I did well with the Equinox, recovering two seated, a war nickel and a Washington. There were wheat cents galore, some Indians , one was a fatty, along with some jewelry, one piece was silver. It's all in the pictures..
Worth mentioning is that there was three GWs found. Unfortunately I didn't get my coil over them this time. But still great to be there to see one recovered.

For a weekend hunt THAT is what is known as “an embarrassment of riches”. Sure, the site counts and is ultimately the one thing that must initially hold the stuff. And of course even a blind squirrel gets a nut once in awhile...but to come away with that number of good targets you just have to know what you’re doing.
Helluva day Gary,shoot...if I was you I might even go back sometime!
It’s not as easy as it may appear to some of the newer people...some hunters just make it look that way.

Was this a seeded hunt? I'm embarrassed to even ask you that lol

I need to get together with some of you guys next time i'm up there. We have 2 houses in Catskill w/ a bunch of land.

Thanks everyone. This was over the course of 2 days of detecting. It was not a seeded hunt.
At lunch time I emptied my pouch of all the trash. This is what was left over that I didn't post the first time. I found one more wheat cent in the clad.

No wonder I'm sore today.

What a great weekend Gary. Luv the Seated's, I experienced some encounters with them this last week also. That Flag soldier is real neat recovery, never seen one of those before. Congrats on the Silvers, the ton of Wheat's, the small tribe of Indians including the fatty and all the rest. A very impressive post. Trapper

Excellent post !

.... It was not a seeded hunt. ....

Well if it wasn't a seeded hunt, then what type of site was it ? Eg: old park or campground? Cellar holes? Travel stop spot ? Coin store ? Etc...

Gary, that's some fine hunting there. A major attaboy on some fine old silver, Ihps, and wheat harvest. Love the soldier w/ flag. Haven't seen one of those before. A seated coin still eludes me, maybe next year. Happy Holidays. Mark
