But I dont know what its made out of. I found this ring last night at the local high school, along with some expected clad. It doesnt have a mark on it, but its heavy, and rang up 10-12 on my 705 which is indicative of gold. Ill have to get it tested, or take it in to a jeweler to see if they have any idea. I packed away my scale so I cant show its weight.

Nice looking ring! One way to test for stainless is to set it like you have it in your first pic, and take a strong magnet and move it close to the ring, it’ll move a bit if stainless.

Thanks ground, I used a regular house magnet at first, and it didnt move. BUT, I have a 70lb pull rare earth magnet and that made it roll. Stainless it is.
