Found at an old carriage house. Looks like some kind of solid metal wheel rim with a graying, decomposing center rim. Equinox 800 bounces between single digits and high 30’s (???), otherwise I’d just chalk it up as iron junk.

That's a cast iron flange with a bit of lead left inside . The flange could be placed over a lead riser and the lead hammered from inside outward til it spread over or it could be placed over a cast iron pipe and molten lead poured in the joint to make it waterproof.
