This was meant to be, among acres of old foundations I get a very scratchy nickel signal @ 6" & it's my very first Buffalo ever, has no date but it's so sweet. Up to now all I have found at this site were 3 wheats & lots of bullets, so there must be at least one silver with my name on it. Keeps me going back.

Congrats on a bucket lister! BUFF is always nice to dig. No date needed....solid detail on both sides....and I like the look the soil gave it! Yes....they give different signals (usually iffy) than other coins..... HH!

Congrats on the Buff! I love finding old nickels as much as finding silver! Hopefully more to come!!!

I like the in-situ pix.

As for the lack of silver there: I wonder if it's been hammered by prior md'rs before ?
