Found this intact glass bottle under some sagebrush at an old ghost town. I know nothing about bottles. Do these numbers and logo help date it? It is heavy for its size. Is it a soda bottle or possibly a Ketchup?

Thank you for any information.

Not sure on the embossing on the bottom but looks like a ketchup bottle to me.

Nice old bottle, sorry I can't help on id. Wonder if 2217 is a manufacturing date, Feb. 2, 1917?

Based on my limited knowledge of Owens Illinois dating codes, looks like 1934. Unless there is a small dot in front of the 4, then it would be 1944.

Thank you! Owens Illinois. That helped me find a website that deciphers the codes. You're right. 1934. There's no dot. It was made at the Portland plant. Cool!
