Most deflating find ... EVER!

I was hunting a local civil war camp that I have found minie balls at previously and pulled this up from about 8 inches down. It was dusk so I couldn’t se extremely good, but was super stoked

I get home and clean it and find this information inscribed on the side and was suddenly like... what the hell?

Ouch, I bet your blood was pumping with that find.... Until you cleaned it. It happens but better luck next time! ;)
 
I've quickened my heart beat a time or two, that turned out for no reason. Its still makes it worthwhile fun.
 
Yes, the anticipation was quite exhilarating, but the end result was a huge bummer!!
 
I have one of rifles in basement of parents house. It used paper caps and fired cork musket balls.
