Strange 57 D wheat penny

I found this this afternoon. It is slightly larger than a normal wheat and a regular clad penny. I am aware of the experiment with electroplating. The thing is this weird rim and the tiny bit larger size. It is not magnetic.
Help!

Looks like a ring for jewelry, should have had a loop on it at one point. I have a couple for different sized coins.

Sure looks like a bezel from a necklace. There is what looks like an old fastening /soldering point in the photo of the reverse.
 
Turns out that's exactly what it is! I guess it's silver plated and part of a charm bracelet. I think I'll put it in one of those living locket things and wear it since it's my first "silver".
