I was recently in Germany, and was able to metal detect in a few areas near the battle to the bulge. I am not sure what these items are. One of the items appears to be a hollow copper barrel of some sort with a standard screw head on the top. The other is a heavy steel plate with some unreadable stamping on the top.

Hello,
You recently wrote to me, but unfortunately I don't think I will be of any help this time. The pictures you sent me are of fragments of details/parts, and I cannot for sure identify them. Yet it seems these are fragments of some parts from some vehicle or technical construction, if you found them in one place.

1st fragment - looks like it is very versatile and could be used in many constructions (artillery munition or technics)

2nd fragment - looks like a lid of some technical vehicle, possibly from armored transport.

Hate to say it, but they may not even be related to the battle or any piece of military equipment.

Possibly. The 1st piece is hollow and has drilled holes so I am under the impression it is some sort of barrel or tubing
