Today the weather was cold and rainy, but I went to hunt in the woods
with my Tesoro Cibola. After only 5 minutes I had a broken iffy signal ...
I dug it and out came this iron ring. At one part the ring is a little brighter ,
some 4 mm and at the other opposite side is thinner, some 3 mm .
It is so corroded, I cannot see any details.I will have to make some electrolysis
on this ring.
There seems to have 2 grooves .
Were there iron rings ?

geez..... *scratches head*....
i suppose it could have been a ring at one time. the only thing is that prior to it rusting it would have been a bit heavier/thicker and would have been kinda bulky i would think.
one thing is for sure..... unlike a gold ring, you wife probably won't want this one even if it is a perfect fit.

The close up picture looks like threads. I know on black pipe (gas pipe, 1/2"-3" I.D.). If the end of the pipe gets hit or bumped it damages the threads and makes them impossible to get started. We just cut the first couple threads off with a hand band saw or sawzall. It leaves you a iron ring.
