I hunted a 1940's house with a friend today and hit some good targets. My first silver half in a long time and two Rosies. Wheaties were every where and the odd looking ring is stamped Sterling. I put some polish on it and the black tarnish on the rag tells the tail, silver. The Eagle Scout Dad pin is a first for me and then there is the cub scout medal. Just never know what will pop out of the ground.:D

Man that’s a fantastic hunt! Congrats on the half and Rosie’s!

Like the scout items too. Can’t imagine finding a silver half, kicker!

Silver Half

Nice going digging those three silvers. My older brother was a Cub Scout, and I remember the oath, and the badges he would (mom) sow on his uniform when he would earn them. That was in the early fifties. I remember the Ben Franklin's too, along with the merc's, walkers, and even SLQ's. I would collect money monthly for my paper route. Every coin was either a wheat, or silver.
