odd looking button. Especially the back

At least I THINK it's a button. Found at an old school (1921).

It's cool looking. My friend also found a 1905 IH penny and a 1917 wheatie.

Any thoughts?

That’s the Continental Airlines emblem and I believe I’ve seen that button as an attachment to a suitcase.
