Hi all , got out this morning and found my first gold ring(583 or 14k) along with a .925 and a junker. The bracelet rang in under the silver segment of the Ace250, it's marked .925 china. I was using the Ace250 today with the stock coil.

Congrats, actually 585 is 14K not 583

Learn something new all the time. Some soviet gold is marked 583 and maybe other countries. Interesting.


"What does 585 or 583 stamped on jewelry mean?

585 or 583 on a piece of jewelry signifies 14k. Technically 14K should be 583 (14/24 = .583333) but most manufacturers have adopted the European way and make 14k gold a tiny bit over 14k, so the mark is 585 in most 14k jewelry."

Most rings say 585. But for some reason even Dentritics uses 583 for 14k after you calculate

I got em weighed. The gold is 8.5 g , the silver ring is 11.3 g and the bracelet is 8.5 g. Thanks for the comments and looking.
