found a really small community park spent around an hour detecting and found my first wheatie of june plus a 1948 nickel can some one tell me what year the war time nickel was first minted?

War time Alloy Variety Nickels were 1942-1945.
Composed of - 56% copper + 35% Silver + 9% Manganese.

Cant't help you on the other thingy.....sorry.
 
Nice wheat. I've found 6 wheats this last month. That's it for old coins :lol:
