Short hunt today Coin in blacktop??

I headed back to the area where they are tearing out the sidewalks for a short hunt.I was finding the normal clad and pull tabs.It looked like it was going to be an uneventful hunt.But as I was heading back towards the car I received a good penny signal and two inchs down was the girl scout pin.A few feet further I found the 1881 IH in very bad shape.Just short of the car I received my last good signal.It was reading dime.I dug and dug and couldn't find it.I finally pinned it down to a chunk of blacktop.As you can see from the pic it looks to be a coin.I will post more pics once I get it out.Keeping my fingers crossed for now.I had to show the pic of the bottle cap.It has to be one of the deepest I have dug (14 inchs).I also added some pics of the silver I have found earlier this week same location.

I found one like that years ago,, Never had the heart to pry it out and see the date though.. If it had "VDB" I might have

Wow I would have to check it out what if its a 1914 D ? or other key date

I think it's a quarter. It has a reeded edge.

I was using the Whites M6.This is my newest detector and have been using it most of the time.
