I got out this morning hoping to get in an hour of hunting in between the rain showers. Stopped by a local schoolyard and hit the woodchip playground. Well, 4 pennies and 10 minutes later, it starts to pour, so I head back across the ball field to my car, and what do I spot just lying on the ground? A wet but perfectly good $20.00 bill! I did a double take, and scooped it up! On top of that, I get in the car, and stop for a coffee on the way home, and I get a 1964 silver quarter in my change! I always check my change, and I knew it was silver as soon as I saw it, but I still can't believe it! Who needs a detector anyway, lol! Hope everyone else makes some nice finds this weekend!

Thanks Harleydog, but the way my luck runs, I'm sure the window of opportunity is already slammed shut. The next Powerball drawing is on Wednesday, no way the luck lasts that long, lol!
 
Good finds, I went out the beach after Ernesto today but all we found was 4 cents and a cheap earring. At least we were not skunked though and the weather was perfect! HH
 
Nice TreasureKidd.....I hit some beaches today and found mostly clad, a key, a toy car, pull tabs, and the like. Oh well, I am brand new to this, but having lots of fun.....still can't wait for my first piece of jewelry or gold or silver......keeping my fingers crossed.

The beach I went to was a mess.....garbage everywhere......cans, foil, etc. Sad.
 
Homerun, which beach did you hit...the trashy one I mean. Believe it or not, I have made almost all of my best beach finds at these trashy beaches. It's better to hit a trashy beach than one of the ones they run the sand cleaner machines on!
 
As Mel Fisher used to say everyday; "Today's the day!". It certainly was for you.
 
Ok, ok! I'm heading out tommorow morning to try this schoolyard again, I'll pick up a Powerball ticket for Wednesdays drawing then. If I win big, I'll buy a beach and seed it with gold coins and invite everyone up to hunt for them. Beer will be on me too, lol!
 
TreasureKidd.....Wheeler State......it was loaded with old cans, etc. But I figured it was a mess because there were a lot of people there. So I guess you have to take the good with the bad.
