Unknown relic found at an old farm site.

Found this weird looking relic at a former farm site. Not really old, since it's made of aluminum, but I really need to know what it was used for back in the day. Any help would be appreciated!

That is a loop terminator for wires and cables. The cable will push in from the small end to just inside the loop and when pulled back a collet in the cone will hold the cable tight. I have some myself. Yours is a smaller version of the ones I have and might have been used for fence wire. Mine are for 3/8 inch cable. HH
