OK, today I unexpected found something amazing. A fugio cent... Found in about 15 mins at an AMAZING site. It was my friends permission so I feel bad. I haven't touched it or cleaned it all and don't plan on it. I am looking for suggestions on where to get it graded. And what variety it is if you can tell.

Thanks!

Incredible, what a save! I would definitely not attempt to clean that thing. They seem to have a great value even worn to almost nothing.

Wow. that is cool. Had to look it up to see what it was. Love the " Mind Your Business" the coin has They should have kept that going

OH MY GOD!!!! AMAZING FIND!!!! You have truly saved a piece of history. The fugio is my favorite coin and it's a dream of mine to own one one day and a fantasy to dig one. Truly amazing coin

Very, very nice find and that one is in much better condition than the one I found on 2 Jan this year.

That is an original issue and not one of the later (1850's) remakes.
It looks perfectly clean so no need to touch it further.

From my research if any of the text is readable price is over $100. Guessing yours is $200+. Never had any coin graded so can not give advice.

Big congrats.

There's more than two cents to that hunt

Hey,

Fieryafterburn isn't showing it all ... he had another spectacular find ...

I'll show my mediocre finds from the same site's hunt:

an IHP, 1901 and a "Treble Gilt" flat button.

Here are pictures of my other finds that day.

- An 1803 Draped Bust Large
- Spoon (I think plated silver)
- Model T Ford Hubcap (Always wanted to find one!)
- Button
-Victorian Coin Purse Piece (I think that's what it is)

Honestly I have only been detecting 10 months and I've never had a hunt where I found so much. Usually its a lot of swinging with a couple of iron buckles, maybe a button.

HUGE thanks to TrenchKnife for inviting me and the homeowner for being so kind. I hope I will be granted a permission equally as awesome to share with my detecting friends.
