Not much good happening in S. Cal lately, so with a 24 hour wind blow I decided to go out and get some exercise. I went to a stretch of beach I had never detected before and was rewarded with not 1 signal.....so much for stepping out into the unknown.....with the Aquasearch off, walked back 3/4 of a mile to a beach that will eat you alive with trash and LAX noise, but will kick out the occasional gold or silver when things are right. Nice views, clean air, and a good workout along with a small silver and a 1928 s penny. Another batch of wind is due tonite into tomorrow, so things are looking slightly positive in the near-term.

Not a bad hunt for these conditions Jerry. Congrats on the silver ring and awesome penny. That coin looks like it had been there a while.

Thanx for the report. Yes this has been a lame winter season for erosion in CA. Totally calm for the most part. So it's been entirely land hunting for me so far this winter :p

George, Tom, & DigDeep- thanks for your replies......the 1928 penny is really old for S. Cal standards......it has been a slightly less than average winter season for sure, hopefully we will get some storms in March.....
