For the shaft check for vinyl spray or sticker. That won't solve the inside problem though

I treated the tip of my propointer with bed liner and it has help up for several years now. It is more durable than plastic spray.

Here is the finished project. I asked about the warranty impacts and they said that this would not effect the warranty. I did 3 light coats with the bedliner spray.

I coated the TOP of my water Compadre's coil, to keep water OUT. And it's worked.

It was leaking where the seam was. Just like my land Compadre (which I sent back and they redid the coil).

They make a water based product. I'm not sure who.makes it, I thought it was a Rust-Oleum product.

Anyhow, I used it on a 13" aftermarket coil and it works great. I did the "many light coats" method.
