Tried plugging (and popping if coin close to the surface) for the first time at a park. Sure is different from them tot lots. Anyway I had the Ace set to Nickel, Pull Tab & setting next to pull tab (whatever that is) in a rare encounter with a ring, and on the quarter setting so I wouldn't waste time digging penny after penny (which ring up penny and dime). If I found a coin I would switch over to coin mode in case there were others dropped in the area. Just found one small 'cache' that way - 3 dimes and 4 nickels in a very tight area.

End result wasn't the best - $1.30 in about 2 hours of digging. The entire park (including tot lot and volleyball court) has yielded a tad over $18.00

That tot lot retrieval will spoil you BIG TIME ...I've got one that has sand like at the beach..even better than wood chips...18 bucks isn't bad for one park..you gotta remember, that park has other MD'ers to feed too...HH Roadrunner_426
