High Tones Everywhere at a Permission. Multiple Silvers.

My sister bought a home built in the early 1940s and is currently converting it into the office for their business. I had detected it last summer and found a few wheat pennies and a couple silver rosies.

They just tore out the old driveway and back concrete patio to put in an asphalt parking lot. I had a suspicion that the back patio was not original to the house. I was right! That back area was FULL of targets. Over 20 wheat pennies and 7 silver coins. Even a buffalo nickel in the front yard where the driveway used to meet the front lawn. Considering the dates on the coins, I would guess the back patio was poured in the late 60s or so. There were so many sweet signals, that I only took the time to take a few pictures. Quite a few interesting finds along with the coins. A Gerber baby spoon, hemweight, play money and a couple cool tokens. Remember Reddy Kilowatt?

I also dug a really interesting piece of jewelry with identifiers, but I am working on finding the original owner before I reveal it. Hope to be posting a jewelry return story soon.

Nice. It's crazy to think about how much silver is out there under driveways, sidewalks, patios, parking lots, playgrounds, etc...

Thanks guys! I actually cleaned out my finds pouch and out dropped another silver rosie. That makes 8 silver coins that hunt. You know its a good hunt when you lose track of the silver coin count. :lol:

Wow, that's great. I bought a house built in the early 30s, and haven't found a thing earlier than the late 60s. I'm glad it's working for someone though.

Those are some great finds. But I gotta say : the pic of the house doesn't look level at all. Camera tilt or optical illusion ? Anyone else see it ?

Yeah ! It's a mystery. The power pole on the left is tilted. Pole on the right is vertical. I know about property slope , but....very odd.

It looks to me, Stiffwrists was holding the camera parallel with the ground, and not bubble level.
Anyway, his hunt looked super fun, and am really glad he got all the goddies before they were paved over. WTG with the return hunt too. Great story, and thanks for showing.

Thanks! It sure has been a great site. They moved around some more dirt today to level it out. I got over 2 more silver rosies and a war nickel from there tonight. :cool:
