1916 Free Mason meeting commemorative ?

Found this today while detecting in the creek. Did some research and I believe it is from the 1916 meeting of the Free Masons in Cedar Rapids Iowa. I also saw mention of the term Order of the Eastern Star while researching this. I believe it is brass.

Nice relic!
Chances are that was a meeting of the Eastern Star, which is a Masonic body open to both men and women
It looks like they are still around and I bet they would love to have an item like that.

It is not clear but it is possible this was a pin. There is a spot on the back that may have been where one was attached.
There is writing on the back. I believe it reads The Whitehead & Hoag Co. Newark N.J. I looked it up and this did exist.
