I was very fortunate last summer to have access to quite a few more fields when one of the landowners purchased several more farms.

Some of the fields were put straight under crop, some grass and some were just laid to fallow.

I have spent the last few weeks searching the new fields, results, some good some bad but it is early days.

Thanks for looking....Doug.

Hammered silver groat (folded) of Philip & Mary AD1554-1558.
What is unusual about this coin is it only shows the head of Mary.

Thanks for the share Doug!

Glad you have some more fields to explore and make new discoveries!

It’s always exciting to explore new fields! Great finds and continued good luck!

Thank you for your kind words and views.

I'm out on Monday looking at some more new fields, possible the grass may be high for searching so I may have to have a plan B.
