Last few hunts- couple of rings -close but no!

The last few hunts I have been digging more mid tones at a few different sites and it paid off with rings and parts of rings. A couple of silver rings and a big stainless. I also found what looked to be a nice gold ring. Until I started to clean it and the gold plating started to come off. 18 KT HGE (high grade electroplated)
I found a nice brass door knob, and a decent IHP. Also found a 1$ coin along with a nice stack of clad and a button that says patented Dec 9 1924.
I included a picture of a hay field I hunt with my best companion in it. Back in April I found an 1807 LC and a 1851 seated dime in this field.
No silver coins lately, but I believe there are more there and I will keep looking.

I dunno. The "door knob" looks more like a brass bedpost knob to me. Fun finds!

That is what I thought until a friend convinced me it was a door knob. Thank you for your thoughts.

Sometimes it gets fun and interesting when you dig more than just high coin signals. That's probably how you will find your next real gold ring. :yes:

If the knob has a square mounting hole, it's a doorknob. If the hole is round, then it's a finial. Can't tell from the pics. Cool dig either way.

Very nice and interesting group of finds
Each of those rings must have been momentary excitement. With that wide variety of old and newer finds plus coins I'm betting on more silver. Congrats
