Because it is time for bed this side of the big water.

Despite the rumours it is a field in the background in the first photograph.

Ring a ring of roses! Well not quite roses but another Doug dynamic discovery! You've got to stop all these posts, you're making us all embarrassed with the number and the quality of your finds!!!

Can't wait (joke) until all the snow melts then we will be into a flood situation here in the south-west of England. Warnings already in place from this weekend.

Thank you.

This photograph taken from a train by my wife on her iPad this morning on her way to visit our daughter.

how much snow do you have?

Not a lot locally at sea level but on the hills and moors which run either side of out market town they have had it quite deep, although Scotland had it worse than most.

The small amount that we have will be gone by the weekend but the heavy rain due in will put us back to a flood situation (river is already starting to flood)

As you can see by the first photograph the local fields are saturated already.

It's been a bad farming year for the local farmers.

about 14 years ago we had a big flood
we had 3 feet of snow in the valley and no telling how much in the mountains and it rained and melted it all in one night
