What Do You Make?

That is a very special chevelle. 1965 chevelle malibu ss came with a 375hp 396. If your bored some time google z-16 chevelle. I also have an 1986 mustang with 500hp. The rear end is from the mustang. The chevelle has the original 12 bolt in it still..

They are expensive to drive. Racing gas is $9.00 a gallon right now.

Neat car !

$9.00 a gallon ? sounds like it's fun to drive, but tough on the wallet

......bet you wish you got the average MPG we are getting right now.... 109.3 MPG

....of course that is the overall effective MPG from driving a plug-in hybrid where we can choose to drive up to about 30 miles on electric only and use hybrid mode which uses both gas/electric for longer trips.

Here is a recent MPG pic:

Here is an older pic of charging our 2020 Prius Prime XLE at home:

Thats my brothers money pit.

Wow, looks powerful

You mentioned the price of $9.00 gas, but after seeing that pic makes me wonder how long the tires last before needing replaced

(likely part of why you called it his money pit ?)

Loved the smell of Cam 2..had a few Street cars. Nothing like the Z16.. Beautiful catch on that baby!! I can't remember seeing any around here back in the day............A Beautiful classic! Surprised you have a Ford..

The 80/90's for me..The vett was stock..66..427/396 The RS was 496ci, 613 HP. Then the HD sportster Rayjay turbo.. Spent a lot of money on that stuff, Glad they are gone. Got all my money back (Plus) on the 66, the other two no. Like you, I did all of the (restoration) work, Engines, (My speciality) custom paint, frame work..but not the interiors, other then the vett where I got all I needed from Corvette America. To old to be crawling under that stuff anymore.

Chances of seeing a z-16 are very small. They only build 201 and very few actually got sold to the general public. My dad bought the car in 1974 for $300.00 with no engine .

I love the 69 camaro. I had a 1968 with a 430 hp 355 i built wit dart heads. I worked in an automotive machine shop for 5 years. I stopped street racing when the cops showed up at the house looking for the blue camaro. I like to go fast. I just seems like the cops always want to talk to me about it. I also had a motorcycle.

cant remember if I ever replied to this thread or not but been looking through all the replies and there are some very very talented people on the forum I build gourd banjos and also have built some tables out of slabs of wood I personally cut the slabs with a Alaskan saw mill, for anyone that does not know what a Alaskan sawmill is it it is an attachment for a chainsaw that allows you to cut logs into slabs of wood

Crazy Horse, my old 2015 Mustang GT 5.0L vs a 2019 Dodge Challenger 6.4L Scat Pack. The car you see go by was to let us know the road was clear.

Many talented people here!
I can and have made many things, but looking at this site made me think of a friend of mine.
He was in his 60’s got cancer and passed in months of being diagnosed. He made this in his spare time. He said it relaxed him. The detail in this thing is incredible. It is a exact scaled replica of a barn he work in as a kid. This barn still stands today but the current owner is letting it fall in to disrepair.

Things I make are all over the board. They range from cabinets, shelves and coatracks to signs, frames and decorative items.

A tiny percentage of what I've made over the years can be seen on my Flicker pages:

We had a community clean up one day. A couple came in wanting to toss a bunch of plastic. I saw what they had and just had them load it into the back of my pickup. It sat for a year before I came up with these ornaments. They are the colored transparent pieces sandwiched between pieces of wood that I turned.

Many of the pieces have copper plated turnings I made to set them off a bit more.
